Donald R. Westbrook

Donald R. Westbrook, 85, of Waverly, passed away Saturday, August 18, 2018 at the residence of his loving sister and caregiver, Wilma Dean White of Williamstown.Mr. Westbrook was born in Pleasants County, WV, March 25, 1933, a son of the late Homer and Thelma Bash Westbrook. He was employed by the former Corning Glass, attended the Waverly Church of Christ and was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. Survivors, in addition to his sister, include one daughter, Donna R. Branham, and husband Dan, of New Richmond, Ohio; two granddaughters, Lily and Ella Branham; several nieces and nephews, including Kay Stanley, and husband Rick, and Gary Westbrook; caregivers, Myrtle Martinelli, Sharon Ball and Shannon Fouts.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Leah J. Fulmer Westbrook in 1999; two brothers, L.C. and Glen Westbrook; and three sisters, Norma Bibbee, Frances Smith and Doris Malone. A funeral service will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Thursday, August 23rd at the Willow Island Baptist Church with Jay D. Smith officiating.Interment will follow in the Willow Island Cemetery with full military graveside rites conducted by Post 15 American Legion, Parkersburg.The family will receive visitors at the church from 11:00 A.M. until time of service.
