Donald W. "Bill" Morris

Donald W. "Bill" Morris, 65, of Parkersburg, passed away August 21, 2017 at his residence.He was born in Parkersburg January 27, 1952, a son of Donald C. Morris of Parkersburg and the late Elizabeth J. "Betty" Richards Morris. Bill was a 1971 graduate of Parkersburg High School.He was former employee of the Parkersburg Montgomery Ward store until its closing at which time he transferred to their Kentucky store and worked until its closing.He worked for several years at both Parkersburg Big Lot stores.Bill was an overseas U.S. Army veteran and was Baptist by faith.He was an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoyed spending time at the family farm in Ritchie County. In addition to his father, Bill is survived by three sisters, Melody Ann Charlton of Parrish, Florida, Gloria Sue Hersman of Lexington, Kentucky and Margaret Ellen Bias of Davisville;one brother, Robert A. Morris of Parkersburg; several nieces and nephews and his pet poodle "Buddy". In honoring Bills wishes, he will be cremated.A memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
