Don Hersman

Date and Time of Service: Sunday, September 1, 2013 2:00 P.M. posted 8/30/2013 at 2:23:31 PM Don Hersman, 67, of Parkersburg, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 30, 2013 at the Camden Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus. Don was born in Wirt County, a son of the late Helen G. Hersman. His wife, Sue Morris Hersman, whom he married in 1971 survives. Don was a graduate of auto mechanic school and served as an auto mechanic at various locations in the Parkersburg area. In addition to his wife Sue, Don is survived by one daughter, Yettie Hersman McPherson and husband Kevin of Louisville Kentucky; one son, Jonathan Hersman of Suffolk, Virginia; four grandchildren, Stacy, Emily and Bailey Nesselrotte and Christin Foy and husband James; two great grandchildren, Aiden Leonardo and Serenety Foy; several cousins, including Janey Gore of Houston, Texas and a special friend, Ron McIntosh of Parkersburg. A casual gathering for sharing and fellowship will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday at the family residence located at 529 Loomis Ridge Rd. off Red Hill. Don chose to donate his body for the advancement of mankind and health sciences to the WV School of Osteopathic Medicine. The Vaughan Funeral Home, Parkersburg assisted the family with local arrangements.
