Dolores June Keener, 87, of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at Camden Clark Medical Center. She was born August 13, 1930 at Clarksburg, W.Va., a daughter of the late Harlan C. and Rose Marie Hetterman Ash. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and retired after 34 years of assisting her husband, Jack, in managing Emerson Bowling Lanes. She was the valedictorian of her 1948 graduating class of Roosevelt Wilson High School.She especially enjoyed being with her family and looked forward to her weekly visits to K.D.'s Beauty Shop. Dolores is survived by two daughters, Jo Ellen Dowler of Vienna, W.Va. and Karen A. Shoemaker and her husband, Daniel, of Parkersburg; one sister, Sandra Lewis (Keith) of Columbus, Ohio; five grandchildren, Kevin Keener, Kelly Teal, Megan Shoemaker (Markus Brookover), Kayla Shoemaker and Kyle Shoemaker; several great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Keener, in 2007; and a son, Jack Warren Keener. There will be no public visitation or services and burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
