Dolores Jean Archer

Dolores Jean Archer, 92, passed away Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at Worthington Healthcare, Parkersburg, West Virginia.

She was born in Parkersburg, a daughter of the late Clyde and Gladys Casto Duncan.

Dolores was a 1952 graduate from Parkersburg High School, a member of Big Tygart United Methodist, and she loved animals, baking, and especially caring for her family.

She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Knight (Mike) of Navarre, Florida, Janet Scritchfield (Butch) of Rockport, West Virginia, and Sherry St.Clair (Mike) of Parkersburg, West Virginia; son, Donald Archer (Sandy) of Marietta, Ohio; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, D.R. “Dock” Archer, on October 8, 2016, and two sons, Dean Archer and infant son, John Archer.

A private service will be conducted at the convenience of her family. Vaughan Kimes Funeral Home is honored to assist with final arrangements.
