After fighting a courageous battle with cancer, Dina Barker Blinn, 60, of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away Monday, July 21, 2014 at her residence.She had successfully fought the battle with cancer in 2001. Dina was born August 10, 1953 at Parkersburg, a daughter of the late Denver L. and Marcella Gragg Barker. Dina had worked for many years with her father in the family insurance business, Barker Insurance.She especially enjoyed Mountaineer football and basketball, the Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers and was an avid fan of Facebook.Dina was a member of Good Shepherd Episcopal Church, Parkersburg. Dina is survived by her husband, Tom Blinn; a daughter, Marci Blinn Greer and her husband, Allyn of Parkersburg; a sister, Nancy Kersey and her husband, Larry of Harrisville, W.Va.; a nephew, Casey Kersey of Parkersburg; and a niece, Jade Blinn Berry of Parkersburg. In addition to her parents, Dina was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Tim Blinn. Funeral services will be 11 A.M., Friday, July 25, 2014 at the Vaughan Funeral Home, 1010 Murdoch Avenue, Parkersburg.The Reverend Marjorie S. Bevans will officiate and interment will follow in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M., Thursday at the funeral home.
