Denzil Ray Stoneking, 89, of Parkersburg went to be with the Lord on May 7, 2018 at Camden Clark Medical Center.He was born March 24, 1929 in Gilmer County, WV to the late Forney Patrick and Edna Rhodes Stoneking.He was employed at Johns-Manville in the Maintenance Department, was a member of the Broadway Church of The Nazarene and was a graduate of Vincent High School.He was also a lifelong farmer, was a Sunday School Teacher, drove the church bus, sang in a gospel quartet and was the last original charter member of the Broadway Church of The Nazarene. He is survived by two daughters, Pamela (John) Mello of Roanoke, Virginia and Beth (Dale) Cottrill of Beaver, Pennsylvania, three grandchildren, Shane (Emily) Beckett, Sara (Tom) Baldauff and Lara (Doug) McGill, and three great-grandchildren, Paul, Andrew and Grace Baldauff. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Mary Ellen Stoneking, four brothers, Victor, Harold, Paul and Emerson Dean Stoneking, and one sister, Helen Kilgore. Friends and Family are invited to the Funeral Service on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Broadway Church of The Nazarene with Rev. Dan Meek officiating.Visitation will be on Friday, May 11, 2018 from 4 pm to 8 pm at Kimes Funeral Home, 521 5th St., Parkersburg.
