Delbert C. Beach

Delbert Beach, 89, of Belpre, passed away, Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at his residence.Mr. Beach was born in Parkersburg, a son of the late Cecil R. and Letha A. Flinn Beach.His wife of fifty three years, Lois Jean Newberry Beach preceded him in death on February 13, 2004. Delbert was a graduate of Parkersburg High School and proud member of the PHS band.Delbert continued his musical skills as a member and veteran of the U.S. Army Band playing the French Horn while stationed in Alaska with his wife.He was formerly employed by the Union Trust and Wood County Banks, Parkersburg and also Bernard McDonough.Delbert served as manager of Belpre Building Materials and was a member of the Camden Avenue Church of Christ.He especially enjoyed working in his yard, spending time with family and was known for his "one liners". Survivors include one son, Lon K. Beach and wife Teresa of Ridgeley, WV; two daughters, Marlene Turner and husband Rick of Williamstown and Lisa J. Beach (Carl Tanner) of Vienna; six grandchildren, Lavonta McVickers (Chris), Brandon Turner, Nick Beach, Shontae Patsaricas (Joe), Erica Mifsud (Bill) and Travis Owens (Hannah); four great grandchildren, Mia, Miley, William, and Michael; Christine Rephan, Nicholas and Shontae's mother.In addition to his parents and wife, Delbert was preceded in death by three sisters, Gerry Seaman, Leah Lemasters, and Leta Lou Cameron. A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Monday, February 10, 2020 at the Camden Avenue Church of Christ with Mark T. Tonkery officiating.Services will conclude with interment in the Evergreen South Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Sunday at the Vaughan funeral Home, Parkersburg.Memorials are preferred to the Humane society- Ohio Valley or Ohio Valley University.
