Deidra D. Butler, 68, of Belpre, Ohio, passed away peacefully at her home on January 29, 2025.
She was born in Parkersburg, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Donald Albert Butler and Phyllis Rhoades Butler.
She was a 1974 graduate of Belpre High School. Deidra furthered her education, she graduated from Parkersburg Community College, after which she worked as a medical technologist. In 1983 she earned a degree from Washington Technical College in computer technology.
Deidra was a dedicated volunteer in her community, serving as a reading tutor at Belpre Elementary and as treasurer and circle leader at Belpre Heights United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister Teresa Butler Fuller, and cousin, Nancy See Holliday.
She is survived by her sister, Dawn Butler Brooks (Tracy); nieces, Courtney Haag (Ben) and Hayley Ratchford (Brent); nephews, Donald Fuller and David Fuller; brother-in-law, Wes Fuller; great nephews, Porter and Miller Ratchford; great niece, River Ratchford; and best friends, Penny Hall, Shawna Cozzens, and Lara Lucas.
A memorial service to celebrate Deidra's life will be held at Belpre Heights Church on March 14, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. with the Reverend Paul McGuire officiating.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Belpre Heights Church, 720 Clement Avenue, Belpre, OH 45714, in her memory.
Burial was held in Evergreen North Cemetery.
