David Paul Butcher

David Paul Butcher, 51, of Parkersburg, passed away suddenly on Thanksgiving Day 2024.

He was the son of Beverly L. Law of Parkersburg and the late Robert P. Butcher.

David graduated from Parkersburg high school and then went into the United States Navy. After his honorable release from the military, he worked for over 20 years with various oil fields and was currently employed with Fusion of Marietta, Ohio. He enjoyed hunting and singing karaoke.

Those remaining to carry his memory include his mother, Beverly Law; daughter, Taya Butcher Harper of Parkersburg; two grandsons, Daylen and Sullivan Harper; loving partner of six years, Dott Moss; half-sister, Debra Law; and his pet dog, Monster.

In addition to his father, David was preceded in death by his grandparents, stepfather; and one grandson, Kalum Butcher.

A memorial visitation will be held 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at Vaughan Kimes Funeral Home with the Lord’s Prayer read by his daughter at the close of the visitation.
