Darrell Glen Deaton

Darrell Glen Deaton, 55, of Parkersburg, WV departed this life after a courageous battle with cancer on March 12, 2016 at his residence surrounded by the love of his family. He was born and raised in Parkersburg, WV and graduated from Parkersburg High School in 1978.He was employed by the Wood County Board of Education for 23 years leaving an imprint on the lives of many children along the way, as they also left an imprint on his life.He was a car enthusiast, enjoyed time with his family and grandkids and his sense of humor will never be forgotten. Born to Theodore and Virginia (Todd) Deaton, he was one of five children and was the Beloved Husband of Teresa Deaton.He was the brother of Joe (Debbie) Deaton, Terry (Shelly) Deaton, and Kathy (Paul) Conrad.Darrell will be greatly missed by his son, Russell (Rachel) Deaton, daughter, Amanda (Brian) LeMasters, Stepson, Josh (Danielle) Murphy, and Stepdaughter, Typhanie Murphy (Nick McPherson).Grandchildren, McKenzie and Olivia Deaton, Savannah DeVore, Kalie and William LeMasters, Kenneth Murphy, and Devon, Lakyn, Lilly McPherson.He will also be greatly missed by many more family and friends. Darrell was preceded in death by his father, Theodore Deaton and his brother, Jerry Deaton. Friends and Family are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Kimes Funeral Home, 521 5th St., Parkersburg, WV.Pastor Lester Morgan will officiate and burial will follow at Middle Ridge Cemetery.Visitation will be on Monday, March 14, 2016 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
