Daniel Joseph Numrich

Now Daniel Joseph Numrich kneels before the risen Lord.He passed over February 21, 2017 and was born January 9, 1946, the son of Walter Frederick Numrich and Olive Maye (Thornton) Numrich, both deceased. He worked as a janitor for Temple B’nai Israel and Saint Francis Xavier Church, where he was a parishioner as well.He also cleaned business offices.He was managing agent of Pinewood Village Apartments from 1988 and a general partner there from 2008-2015.He wrote poetry. His loving wife of 35 years is Shirley Ann (Syper) Numrich.Her happiness was his happiness.With her he helped raise his daughter, Doctor Sunshine Maria (Numrich) Lahmers whose mother is Carmella Maria (Barbato) Numrich of Providence, RI (Sunshine’s primary care-giver); Sunshine’s husband is Doctor Kevin Karl Lahmers; they reside in Blacksburg, VA.He also helped Shirley raise Craig Richard Hendershot whose wife is Regina Lynn (Anderson) Hendershot, both in Parkersburg; Tonya Ann Hendershot of Parkersburg; Doctor Tracy Lee Hendershot who with his wife, Mary Ellen Scott Hendershot, reside in Elizabeth, WV; Scott Randall Hendershot, and Austin Lee Hendershot of Parkersburg, his step-grandson, who was like a son to him. Sage Taylor Lahmers and Sumner Luke Lahmers are his grandchildren.Renee Ann Donahue, Reilly Adair Hendershot, Shyla Marie Rake and Trenton Michael Rake are his step-grandchildren; his step-great grandchildren through Renee Ann are Kalianna Skyleen Washington and Kamirah Denea Inez Washington both by Antonio Dante Washington of Columbus, Ohio. Dr. E. F. and Mrs. Sarah Lynn (Numrich) Harris of Waverly, WV are his brother-in-law and sister; his brother is Larry Thornton Numrich of Parkersburg whose partner was Sandra Marie Fallon of Morgantown, WV.His nephew is Liam Fallon Numrich of Morgantown, WV. Funeral mass will be at Saint Margaret Mary Church at 10 a.m. on Friday, February 24, 2017 with Rev J. Stephen Vallelonga,V.F. Celebrant, and burial following at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.Visitation will be from 4 -8pm on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at Kimes Funeral Home, 521 5th St., Parkersburg.
