Cornelia "Rose" Hanlon, 93, a resident of Azalea Health & Rehabilitation Center in Wilmington, NC and formerly of the Boaz Community entered into eternal rest on August 24, 2019. Mrs. Hanlon was born October 28, 1925 in Parkersburg, a daughter of the late Russell R. and Blanche B. Hornbeck Brant. She was a homemaker and represented The Avon Company for twenty one years. Rose was a member of People's Church at Boaz and a member of S.A.L.T.She was an avid bowler and participated in league bowling at Emerson Lanes. Survivors include two sons, Lester L. Hanlon Jr. (Sandra) of Kure Beach, NC and G. Richard "Rick" Hanlon (Lee Ann) of Little River, SC; one brother, Gary P. Brant of Parkersburg; seven grandchildren, Michael Hanlon, Brian Hanlon, Jeffery Hanlon, Julie Goering, Rebecca Faber, Kelley Quoyle and Amy Wadia; and twelve great grandchildren, Emily and Jacob Hanlon, Kaylee Rose Hanlon, Grace Hanlon, Emma Grace and Abigail Faith Goering, Richard Goering, Wesley Hanlon, Joseph Reed Faber, Fiona Wadia, Rocco Quoyle and Alessandra Quoyle. In addition to her parents, Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Lester L. Hanlon Sr.; one son, Dennis Eugene Hanlon in 1984; four brothers, infant Harley, John, James and Richard Brant; and two sisters, Peggy and Mary. A Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 P.M., Friday, August 30, 2019 at the Vaughan Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Pastor Rick Kapple officiating.Interment will follow in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery.The family will receive friends one hour prior to services.
