Clarkston Eugene Day

Clarkston Eugene Day, 72, of Little Hocking, Ohio, passed away, Thursday, October 19, 2023, at Marietta Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Parkersburg, West Virginia, a son of the late Clarkston Samuel and Obeda Harris Day. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife, Dorothy Louise McElfresh Day; son, Eugene Day; brother, James Day; and two sisters, Debra Day Collins, and Anna Irene Day.

Clarkston worked in construction before becoming disabled. He enjoyed listening to the music of Johnny Cash, fishing, and auctions.

Those left to carry his memory include his daughters, Dorothy Jean Snider, and Sandra Kincaid; sisters, Stella Place (Eddie), Della Meadows, and Cassandra Collins; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 23, 2023, at Vaughan Kimes Funeral Home with Pastor Lois Whipkey officiating. Interment will follow in Decatur United Methodist Church Cemetery . His family will receive friends from noon until the time of service.
