Cecil Thornton Barnes

Cecil Thornton Barnes, Jr., 69, of Parkersburg passed away November 4, 2018 at Camden Clark Medical Center.He was born December 27, 1948 in Wood County, WV to the late Cecil and Anna Bunner Barnes.He was a U. S. Marine Corp Veteran in the Vietnam Era.He was a self-employed construction worker and a Methodist by Faith.He loved fishing and going for long drives. He is survived by his companion of 37 years, Gloria Sams, two brothers, Terry Barnes of Parkersburg and Robert Barnes of Charleston, WV, and his sister, Debbie Mincks of Williamstown, WV and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Sheila Richards, sister-in-law, Debby Barnes and brother-in-law, Larry Mincks. There will be a Visitation on Saturday, November 10, 2018 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Kimes Funeral Home, 521 5th St., Parkersburg, WV.Burial will be at the convenience of the family at Evergreen North Cemetery.There will be no funeral service.
