Billie J. Rader

Billie June "Dolly" Rader, 69, of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away Tuesday,May 5, 2015 at her daughter's residence in Vienna, W.Va. Billie was born June 28, 1945 at Ravenswood, W.Va., a daughter of Geraldine Bentz Watkins of Ravenswood and the late Arthur W. Watkins. She had been a nursing assistant in her early working years and was the deli manager at the former Wilson's IGA for many years.She enjoyed gardening and cooking and especially enjoyed participating in her children's and grandchildren's activities as they were growing up.She was a member of the Shiloh United Methodist Church. In addition to her mother, Billie is survived by her husband, Okey Nelson Rader; two daughters, Melissa (Harry) Montgomery and Mechelle Lewis, both of Vienna, W.Va.; two sons, Michael (Sheri) Rader and Matthew Rader, both of Parkersburg, W.Va.; one sister Peggy (David) Fields of Ripley, W.Va.; four brothers, Gary (Loudonna) Watkins, Larry (Stella) Watkins, Ricky (Ann) Watkins and Timothy Watkins, all of Ravenswood, W.Va.; several grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a sister, Alice Hatcher and two brothers, Arthur, Jr. and Robert Watkins. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, May 9, 2015 at the Vaughan Funeral Home, 1010 Murdoch Avenue, Parkersburg.Pastor Robin McQuain will officiate and interment will be in Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 8, 2015 at the funeral home.
