Betty Jo Morris

Mrs. Betty Jo Creasey Morris, 87, of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away Saturday, July 15, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital, Charleston, W.Va. She was born in Gilmer County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Ralph and Muriel Miller Crimmel.She was a 1950 graduate of the registered nurses training at Camden Clark Memorial Hospital and retired as a private duty nurse.Betty was a member of Beechwood Presbyterian Church where she enjoyed singing in the church choir.Shealso enjoyed dancing and writing a news column for the Braxton Democrat newspaper. Betty Jo is survived by her two sons, Michael Creasey of Parkersburg and Steve Creasey of Vienna, W.Va.; four grandchildren, April Fleming, Ashlie Ferrell, Rose Creasey and Jesse Hyde; eight great-grandchildren, Keirra, Karlie, Jonah, Abigail, Rachael, Lydia, Grace and Shelby; one great-great grandson, Martin; and her special furry friend, Buddy Boy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Crimmel. The family will receive friends at the Vaughan Funeral Home, 1010 Murdoch Ave., Parkersburg from 11 - 1 P.M., Friday, July 21, 2017.A graveside service will follow at Riverview Cemetery, Williamstown.The Reverend Rick Johnson will officiate.
