Barbara Jan Simons

Barbara Jan Simons, 65, of Vienna, WV passed away August 15, 2018 at her residence.She was born January 19, 1953 in Tacoma, WA to the late Rodney Joseph and Helen Schwingler Larson.She was a Security Guard Lieutenant for Securitas and was also employed by the F.B.I. in Washington, D. C.She was a Clerk for Tacoma, Washington Police Department and was a Corrections Officer for Purdy Correction Center in Purdy, Washington.She was a member of the 36th Street church of Christ and was also caretaker of her daughter.The three most important things to her were God, family and animals. She is survived by her husband, John Carl Simons, one son, John (Melissa) Simons of Pittsburgh, PA and one daughter, Becca Simons of Vienna, WV, one grandchild, Brayden Simons, one brother, Mark Larson of Tacoma, WA, two sisters, Laurie (Mike) Patrick of Tacoma, WA and Patty Savoy of LaPlata, MD and several nieces and nephews. There will be a Gathering of Friends and Family on Friday, August 17, 2018 from 5pm to 7pm at the 36th Street church of Christ in Vienna, WV. Donations may be made to the Parkersburg Humane Society.
