Arthur K. "Oink" Johnson

Arthur K. “Oink”Johnson, 85, of Waverly, WV passed away July 3, 2016 at his residence where he was loving cared for by his daughter, Linda. He was born September 16, 1930 in Wood County a son of the late William Wallace and Della Pearl Smith.He was a member of the Hope Freewill Baptist Church and was retired from Corning Glass with 32 years of service. He is survived by five daughters, Judith Anna (Norman) Roush of Waverly, Jennifer Sue (Robert) Burdette, of Belleville, Janice Ruth (William Allen) Minear of Parkersburg, Mary Milhoan of McArthur, Ohio, and Linda McCumbers of Waverly, one brother Robert Wayne (Carol) Johnson of Parkersburg and a sister Carolyn Diane Johnson of Harrisville, ten grandchildren, several great and great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Violet G. Dye, a brother, William Daniel Johnson, six sisters, Lena Murray, Christine Murray, Ruby Hajjar, Mary Hammett, Freda Stoneking and Anna Lee Chaplick. Friends and Family are invited to attend the funeral service on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Kimes Funeral Home, 521 5th St., Parkersburg with Pastor Budy Corbin officiating and burial following at Shiloh Cemetery.Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the funeral from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the funeral home on July 6, 2016.
