Arlene Merian White

Arlene Merian White, 83, of Elizabeth, WV passed away January 26, 2019 at Ohio ValleyHealth Care.She was born September 20, 1935 in Parkersburg, WV to the late Cecil and Virginia Harper Beckett.She had previously worked at Jimmy Colombo's and various other restaurants in the Parkersburg area as well as Yonker's Manufacturing as a seamstress.She was a Girl Scout Leader and a Lifetime member of Sun Rise church of Christ. Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Delbert E. White, one son, William Gilbert (Jacquelyn) White of Kearneysville, WV, one daughter, Tena Louse Kollar of Martinsburg, WV, six grandchildren, Jeremy (Brook) White, Joshua, Justin and Jarrod White, Samantha and Kenneth Kollar, four great-grandchildren, Jaidyn, Jory Kollar, Jonathan and William White, and four step-great grandchildren, Kenneth Spalding, Kathryn, Justyn, and Bradley Stroup, and one brother, Kenneth Beckett of St. Paul, Minnesota. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Ed and Jack Beckett and one sister, Janet Giovanni. A funeral service is planned for Thursday, January 31, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Kimes Funeral Home, 521 5th St., Parkersburg with Elder Jacob Cottrill and Evangelist Elvis Galbreath officiating.Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens.Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
