Archie W. Burdette

Archie W. Burdette, 69, of Parkersburg, passed away Monday, July 20, 2015 in the Camden Clark Medical Center.He was born in Parkersburg, a son of the late Clalla S. and Garnett F.Hayes Burdette. Archie had served over forty years as a school bus driver in Wood County.He was an Army USAR UNASGD veteran, having served during the Vietnam War and was an avid fisherman.He was a former driver in area dirt track racing and especially enjoyed following his son and grandsons racing schedule. Mr. Burdette was very proud of his two sons, Jeff W. Burdette (April) and Mike D. Burdette both of Parkersburg; one sister, Judy Carlisle of Chardon, Ohio and one brother, David Burdette of Willoughby, Ohio; six grandchildren, one great grandson and his Fox Terrier "Hoosier". Archie's wish was to be cremated, there will be no visitation or service.
