Anna Fay Skidmore

September 24, 1923 — May 8, 2017

Anna Fay Skidmore, 93, of Williamstown, currently a resident of Worthington Care Center, passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 8, 2017 after an extended illness. Mrs. Skidmore was born in Murphytown, W.VA., a daughter of the late Granville A. and Letha M. Earl Rolston.Her husband, Charles F. Skidmore preceded her in death in 1987 along with one brother, Bud Rolston in 2015. She is survived by one daughter, Carolyn Kesterson and husband Frank of Parkersburg; one son, Mark A. Skidmore of Williamstown; one sister, Dianne Owens and husband William of Williamstown; one sister-in-law, Hazel Rolston of Williamstown; one granddaughter, Megan Kesterson of Parkersburg;two nieces and a nephew, Alice Skidmore of Marietta, and Vickie and Chuck Hill of Williamstown. Mrs. Skidmore was a homemaker.She was an excellent cook and seamstress and especially enjoying crocheting and her pets. She was a 1941 graduate of Williamstown High School and was a member of Waverly-Bethel Presbyterian Church. Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Thursday at Riverview Cemetery, Williamstown with Reverend Kenneth Calebaugh officiating.A private gathering of the family will be held at the Vaughan Funeral Home, Parkersburg. In lieu of flowers, please consider donation to the Waverly-Bethel Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 7, Waverly, WV 26184.
