Amy Pierce

Amy Pierce, 78, of Washington, Utah and formerly of Parkersburg, passed away September 26, 2017 at her residence.She was born May 13, 1939 at home in Murphytown, Wood County, WV, a daughter of the late Robert A. and Tessie B. Lamm Ross. Mrs. Pierce was a 1957 graduate of Parkersburg High School.She served as the Parkersburg area Welcome Wagon Hostess for fifteen years and was a member of Dupont Road Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Austin E. Pierce; one daughter, Susan Sarver and husband John of Washington, Utah; one son, Mike Pierce and wife Laura of Ivins, Utah; one sister, Allenetta Kaufman of Columbus, Ohio; one brother, Robert Ross of Parkersburg; four grandchildren, Emily, Amanda, Matthew and Molly and three great grandchildren, Isaac, Noah and MaKenna. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one grandson, Benjamin Sarver, four sisters and three brothers. Graveside services and committal will be conducted 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at the Lubeck Cemetery with Pastor Howard Miller officiating.In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the Dupont Road Baptist Church.
