Alma Blanche Wentzel, 87, of Parkersburg passed away January 4, 2019 at Camden Clark Medical Center.She was born April 26, 1931 in Wood County, WV to the late William Edward and Hazel Dailey Conger.She was a Teacher’s Aide for the Wood County Board of Education for 21 years working at Jefferson Elementary, Van Devender Jr. High, and McKinley Elementary before retiring from Emerson School with 21 years of service.She was a member of the 1949 graduating Class of Parkersburg High School.She was also a Charter Member of New Hope Baptist Church and most recently had attended Emmanuel Baptist Church. She is survived by two sons Michael (Kay) Wentzel of Woodstock, GA and Richard Wentzel of Parkersburg, WV, two daughters, Linda (Ron) Howard of Parkersburg, WV and Lisa (Rex) Roy of Little Hocking, OH, six grandchildren, Laura, Tiffany, Ryan, Rob, Steven and Chris and twelve great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Wentzel, one son, Mitchell, one brother, Kenneth Conger, and two infant brothers. Friends and Family are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Monday, January 7, 2019 at 2 p.m. at Kimes Funeral Home, 521 5th St., Parkersburg with Pastor Kurt Busiek officiating.Burial will follow at Evergreen North Cemetery.Visitation will be on Sunday, January 6, 2019 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
